History of Xi Omicron Omega Chapter, Inc.

Xi Omicron Omega Chapter, Inc was chartered in 1983 as one of 966 undergraduate and graduate chapters of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. The chapter was created to implement the goals and purpose of the national organization. The focus is on “service to mankind.” The “SPIRIT” of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and Xi Omicron Omega Chapter is service and volunteerism. As society becomes more complex, Xi Omicron Omega Chapter continues to meet the challenge through increased services in the community, state, as well as internationally.

OUR MISSION
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated is a transatlantic organization influencing global issues. As one of the Chapters of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Xi Omicron Omega Chapter realizes that economic diversification is the mandate for economic survival in the 21st century and beyond. Many programs have been implemented over the years through the various targets put in place by each President of the organization. These programs have proven to be very effective for large numbers of people. Members of the chapter have used their time, their talents and their finances to implement the national program of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.

The commitment to scholarship and academic excellence has been reflected in continuous support of the local high schools, community college, and historical black colleges and universities.

Additionally, the chapter supports the Educational Advancement Foundation.

African Americans are at risk for many diseases, therefore Xi Omicron Omega Chapter has provided tremendous time and financial support for health charities and programs.

As Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority forges ahead with commitment to health, art, education, the family and economic program targets, so will Xi Omicron Omega Chapter because the overall objective remains steadfast; “Supreme In Service to All Mankind”.
