Soaring to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood
2025 Program

Strengthen Our Sisterhood will serve as the Chapter’s “Foundation Initiative” as we strengthen our bonds to support our service mission. We will intentionally take time to fellowship and form lifelong relationships based on affinity, love, trust, respect, and shared goals and interests, while concurrently building on our foundation to serve others.

Areas of Focus/Chapter Approach:

  1. AKA Soror Squads: Soror Squads are focused on building greater bonds of sisterhood around common endeavors or activities through intimate small groups. This initiative will organize Sorors in monthly/bimonthly activities for team building and bonding; and to share random acts of care and compassion.
  2. AKA Pals: AKA Pals will allow members to create cross-regional relationships to allow for greater fellowship.
  3. “We Are One” AKA Service Day- During our annual MLK Day of Service, all members will join together, volunteer and serve the community side-by-side.
  4. Breast Cancer Awareness and Prevention: Breast Cancer Awareness Day and month will be recognized with activities and an online presence encouraging women to get regular mammograms and to practice monthly self-exams. Sorors will be asked to share this message with friends and family members and be encouraged to make donations to the organization of their choice that focuses on breast cancer prevention and/or research for a cure. Our Chapter will make a donation to the American Cancer Society. *October
